BES belonged to the top 4 Best Brigada Implementor among the schools in 20 divisions in Central Luzon who competed in the said category. The Department of Education (DepEd) launched the National School’s Maintenance Week, popularly known as Brigada Eskwela in 2003 to signal the beginning of another school year. This endeavor depicts the bayanihan spirit of the Filipinos where volunteers give their full support for the benefit of the community. On May 21-25, the same scenario took place in BES that made the school receive the award.Parents, teachers, Non Government Organizations (NGO’s) and Local Government Units (LGU’s) along with the school’s alumni joined forces and led the clean-up drive, repainted the classrooms and buildings, repaired the tables and desks, rechecked the electrical wirings and greened the surroundings. Mrs. Jennifer G. de Guzman, the school principal extended her gratitude to all the stakeholders who extended a help whether in kind and in cash for the success of this year’s Brigada Eskwela. |
