Gr.6 stud bags bronze in Palarong Pambansa 2017
“Try and try until you succeed.”
This is what Annika Diwa believed and eventually shown in lawn tennis singles
event as she won silver in Palarong Pambansa 2017 held at San Jose, Antique on
April 23-29, 2017.
Annika won against Western Visayas
in the first round with the score 8-1; 2nd round against Central
Visayas 8-4; 3rd round against Northern Mindanao 8-0; until she
vowed to National Capital Region (NCR) with the score 5-8.

BES stud bags silver in International Math Contest
The Philippine Team, composed of 350
elementary and secondary students from Grades 1 to 10 bagged 34 gold, 74 silver
and 132 bronze medals in the recently concluded International Mathematics
Wizard Challenge held last July 20-24 in Bangkok Thailand. A total of 868
students from Hongkong, Macau, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, Thailand and China
participated in the competition.
One of the delegates of the Philippine Team
is Io Aristotle Nikolai Prudencio Calica, a grade two pupil of Balanga
Elementary School who was awarded a Silver Prize. Winning a Silver medal means
competing against thousands of Grade 1 and 2 pupils, from almost 3,000 school

Grade 4 stud tops National Children’s Science Congress

With the congress theme “ Nurturing
Creative Minds”, Tristan Benedict Madarang, a grade 4 – SPED pupil recently won
and emerged as champion in the National Children’s Science Congress held in La
Vista Pansol Resort, Calamba, Laguna on February 1 -3, 2016.
Madarang first competed in the
Regional Science Fair at Angeles Elementary School, PulungBulo, Angeles City on
December 8-9, 2015 under Sci- Quiz category with Mrs. Leonida Cruz as his
coach. He also ranked first in this competition and inspired him more to being
the national champion in the Science Congress.

a unique gift from GOD. These talents should be honed and developed through workshops,
seminars, contests and others.
Pupils of Balanga Elementary School
are so blessed because they’ve given the opportunity to showcase their
God-given talents by joining the BES Drum and Lyre Corps.
